Katelyn, or Kate, has wanted to be an occupational therapist since first hearing about the field at a middle school career fair. She achieved her dream and received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. Katelyn also received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mary where she played collegiate volleyball for four years.
Katelyn has a variety of experience working with people across the entire lifespan: from infants to elderly. For her, every opportunity she had to learn or interact were wonderful. “It is very special to be a part of a profession that is so effective and makes a significant impact for people of all ages,” she said.
I am so lucky to have the opportunity to interact with children! Their curiosity and excitement make therapy so enjoyable. I love to collaborate with families to establish a meaningful plan of care that results in increased independence and quality of life.
I love to kayak at the lake and do DIY projects. Also, volunteering is something very important to me. I love to be able to give back to the communities that have given me so much and to connect with people.
