Two Speech Language Pathologists at Pediatric Partners Clinic in Bismarck have achieved their PROMPT Certification. PROMPT stands for Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets. PROMPT Speech- Language Pathologists use their hands to teach the child how to correctly move their jaw, lips, and tongue.
This certification will allow our therapists to identify oral motor movements that may contribute to speech sound difficulties and how to target and provide increased tactile support. The training will also help the therapists structure therapy sessions to target functional speech and language targets.
