This past spring, a Speech-Language Pathologist from Pediatric Partners in Fargo attended the virtual “LiPS” training. “LiPS” is a multisensory program that uses hands-on therapy which introduces patients to letters and their sounds as well as how the child feels and sees the sounds. During this therapy, the therapist introduces the child to how letters can be combined in simple syllables and then words.
This course has offered a new way of teaching letters and their sounds as well as combining the letters to form words and create paths for more successful reading.
